Just recently we witnessed a range of music phones launched by Nokia. So getting our hands on the company’s latest stylish E71 smartphone to review got us super excited. The Enterprise class phone, at present is one of the newest QWERTY keyboard devices introduced by the company. It claims to have been exclusively crafted for the corporate world. This handset is very strongly built and has a lot of capabilities including the GPS function.
It hardly took us a couple of seconds to switch to the required mode and the applications above also changed accordingly. Other applications found were the WorldMate and the Sports tracker. Furthermore, with efficient emailing feature, this device helps easy usage of Google and Nokia maps. This Nokia creation adorns the Satellite acquisition feature along with 3D map and extremely speedy Wi-Fi connectivity. This feature seemed extremely handy and quick. Lastly, the phone also amazed us with its YouTube flash feature which allowed decent viewing of the videos.
The best:
Nokia’s N95, the Apple and the Sony Ercisson W910i are you best bet here. There isn’t much difference in music quality between the N95 and W910i. While the N95 is bulky, the W910i is light and slim-it also has the “shake’ controls and senseMe technologies. The N95 is more complete package, so we recommend that. The iPhone offers a great user experience, but the sound quality can’t match the other two especially on the bounded earphone.
Mid – Range:
Here you have options from Nokia as well as Sony Ericsson. The SE W 850I and W 660i have excellent audio quality, and comes with good earphone. Nokia N73 Music Mdition and the Xpress Music 5160 and 5130 have good music player too. The Sony Ericsson phones win here for their excellent sound.
Entry Level:
AT the entry level, nothing beats Sony Ericsson phones-the W200i is where it starts from, but if you can stretch you budget by a couple of thousand, we recommend the W610i, or W810i. Both these phones have excellent music quality.

From looks to features, Nokia’s N85 has it all. But there is still one complaint to be recorded here. Nokia has added a lot of phones to its N-series but there hasn’t been anything path-breaking in terms of design.
The latest entrant, the N85, yet again a dual slider with multiple keys placed around the D-pad. In order words, it looks like the N81. But heft it and you can notice a difference. Unlike the N96 or the N81, this one doesn’t feel like a brick and is easy to hold.
Nokia has also tinkered with the display and the N85 has a reduced screen of 2.6-inch. The keypad too is compact. And the brightness of the OLED display leaves the user with the impresion of having finally seen the light.
And here’s the good news: N85 doesn’t hang and is, therefore, easy on the nerves. And it comes with a good battery backup with a charge lasting a day and a half with excessive calling and web browsing.

The M530w is another entry level PDA phone from ASUS-it lacks a touch screen, but includes a full QWERTY thumb board. The M530W goes head to head with the Motorola MotoQ and the Nokia E61i-right down to the slim design.
The ASUS M530w is offered in two colours-white and black. We got the pearly white for review, and the photographs don’t do it justice-it may look like the old Sony Ericsson T100, but the white body with orange detailing manages to look quite appealing. The navigational buttons are well laid out-they are large, comfortable to use and have good tactile feedback. However, the numeric keys have an orange glow thanks to the backlight, and the screen printed numbers on them are not easily legible.
The M530w goes head to head with the Nokia E61i, which has a similar feature set. Given a choice between the two, choosing one is a tough call; we’d stay with Nokia E61i just for symbian.
